Control of these garden pests can be by organic or chemical means. If you leave out a cup of beer, the snails are attracted to the carbohydrate and yeast in the beer and will drown. Ensure to check the cup daily. Chemical means, through baiting with proprietary products every fortnight, will give good control. Mechanical means with a big workboot is also effective-but messy!

Although garden snails are hermaphrodites, they still need a mate to reproduce! So let’s reduce the odds of a romantic interlude and get  out in the garden to control this pest and allow our plants to flourish.
